Recent events have highlighted these weaknesses, including a widespread failure affecting worldwide digital services and latest online threats that affected operations at major factories and logistics systems across various businesses.

A previous senior officer of the UK's air and space warfare centre will deliver recommendations next month on how the publicly-supported center can optimally help the scale of government AI ambitions in defense, national security and intelligence.

Strategic Realignment

The organization's leader, a ex-Amazon UK executive, confirmed that multiple research initiatives at the 440-staff institute have been closed, spun out or finished because they do not align with the fresh focus.

The organization has faced internal strife since last year as employees objected against changes, culminating in a team of staff members registering an official concern to the relevant regulatory body.
