Ariana Grande visited Singapore for the international premiere of Wicked: For Good

Passionate supporters of Ariana Grande are urging that a individual who breached a barrier and touched the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be detained or deported from Singapore.

A viral video depicts the individual from Australia pushing past camera operators and charging at Grande while the performers walked down a event pathway flanked by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being arrested", though court documents revealed that he was scheduled to be present on the next day. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

History of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile contains recordings of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney show in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last winter.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is obviously a punishable act," commented an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user remarked.

Followers Express Concern Over the Star's Safety

Numerous followers criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote another message on Instagram.

Several supporters also faulted event staff at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals demanded social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage shared widely, Grande seemed startled when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Numerous of supporters had assembled in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore venue, including some who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The film, to be released on the 21st of November, is the second of a two-part interpretation of the popular Broadway and West End show Wicked, which revolves around the surprising relationship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a rosé glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of 2024 in the UK, and received ten Academy Award nods, winning a pair for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
