Nigel Farage Accuses Teachers of ‘Poisoning Our Kids’ on Race Issues

The political figure stated that teachers would go on strike within weeks a success at the polls for his party, accusing them of “poisoning our kids” by telling children that black pupils are victims and Caucasian students are perpetrators.

During an event for a Michigan-based religious institution, the politician expressed his viewpoint on British schools, claiming that the “Marxist left” had “taken over schooling”.

“I’m anticipating a teachers’ strike soon after winning the next general election,” he remarked in response to questions.

“They are poisoning our kids. They instruct children to feel guilt about their nation. They are telling an eight-year-old black child that he is oppressed and a white child of the same age that he is an oppressor. They create division, instead of fostering unity. They are feeding this harmful mindset.”

Reacting to these assertions, the head of a major education union rejected the notion that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “nonsense”. Kebede noted that any strikes must relate to educators’ working conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these immediately upon entering government.

“The politician has crafted his political career on dog-whistle politics and currently, similar to other figures, he is lining up teachers and their unions for a conflict,” Kebede stated.

“I think that’s grossly irresponsible. I don’t – and nor does my union – advocate such divisive theories as he’s suggesting … Should he become prime minister he would sell out our public services, including education … and the outcome would be catastrophic for students and learning.”

The party, which tops surveys by a significant margin, has not set out much detail on a proposed education policy and seems not to have designated an education lead.

Nonetheless, Farage’s remarks indicated the group would reform the educational framework. Farage declared: “We face an enormous task with education – absolutely herculean. And, it won’t happen quickly; it will take us years, years to turn this around.”

Farage expressed that gen Z was more open to analytical thought, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Paying tribute to a conservative activist, Farage said: “All I want education to do to teach critical thinking – to educate individuals that multiple perspectives exist and they should decide for themselves rather than current practices where one is virtuous and one is evil. It’s a massive job in the UK and US.”

The party has conflicted with the UK’s largest teaching union, after Kebede called the party “extremist and prejudiced” and described the leader as “a cheap imitation”.

Farage has accused Kebede of being “a self-declared Marxist” … someone who is absolutely determined that young minds be corrupted at school, their minds should be poisoned about everything to do with this country” and maintained that the organization seeks to brainwash youth opposed to his party.

Almost one million people are employed in education in the UK, with educators comprising half and the remainder being assistants and administrative personnel. The leading teachers’ organization has about 450,000 members.

National strikes over educators’ salaries and work environment in recent years caused widespread disruption in educational institutions and millions of days of lost learning for students.

During the American gathering, Farage also vowed to promote the digital courses of the institution in the UK. He stated organizations like it were “key to resistance”, noting: “I am serious. I’ll assist attract vast numbers of young people to these educational programs. I make that commitment now and I’ll do that.”

The college, a religious educational establishment, provides complimentary classes. Its website states: “Comprehensive learning is vital for well-being and to perpetuate the blessings of civil and religious liberty. It offers these excellent programs for no charge to every interested learner.”
