US Military Executes Lethal Strike in Pacific, Leading to Four Fatalities
As stated by a senior military spokesperson, the American military executed a fatal strike on a vessel in the Pacific Ocean, resulting in the deaths of four people.
“A US joint task force carried out a lethal kinetic strike on a craft operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization in international waters. Intelligence verified the vessel was transiting along a known narco-trafficking route and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations. All four male drug traffickers were eliminated, and no American forces were injured.”

The statement follows a day after a declaration regarding a naval blockade of all targeted oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela. That statement on online platforms, the US president alleged Venezuela of using oil revenues to fund narcotics smuggling and other crimes, vowing to escalate the military buildup.
Only on Tuesday, the Pentagon said it had carried out strikes on three boats suspected of trafficking drugs in the Pacific, leading to the deaths of eight people. Beginning on 2 September, over 20 strikes have killed at least 99 individuals, the majority off the coast of Venezuela.
Government Defends Tactics Amidst Scrutiny
The government has encountered growing pressure to make public video of a 2 September vessel attack. However, officials have refused to do so. The administration has supported its efforts as a success, arguing it has prevented drugs from entering US shores and has dismissed concerns that it is stretching the limits of lawful warfare.
While the administration has said the operation is about stopping drugs headed to the US, remarks from a senior aide seemed to confirm a wider political aim. In a recent interview, the senior advisor remarked the president “aims to keep on destroying vessels until the Venezuelan president surrenders or concedes.”
This suggests the military campaign may be part of a push to oust Venezuela's sitting leadership.
